NAVIGATING THE TOUGH STUFF:
The Physical and Mental Process Behind Healthy Practice and Performance Habits
Miss Fransen has over 15 years of teaching experience and specializes in helping students establish healthy practice habits through troubleshooting physical and mental setbacks. She also has extensive experience teaching disabled and physically handicapped students.
Her piano workshop emphasizes practicing skills through time management, effective physical and mental processes, and the “categorization” of mistakes. In addition, she discusses the minimization of performance anxiety through meditation exercises and attention to mental health.
The workshop can accommodate both young students and those studying at the college level and can be offered as a combined workshop and master class, as well. See the current schedule for the 2019-2010 school year below. Please use the contact form on this page to inquire about scheduling a workshop at your institution.
